Korea Scholarship 2008 - UPDATE!

As promised back in November 2007 by OTC director Liam Cahill funding has been secured to send the top students to Korea sometime in July and August (dates to be confirmed). The details are being confirmed at the moment but this will give students the opportunity to visit Korea and train at dedicated facilities, they will also be able to attend various martial arts events and enjoy both the culture and experience of visiting Korea.

We will announce further details later in April after a meeting with the London Taekwondo Academy. Those chosen to go on the trip will be announced in May.

For those of you not lucky enough to go on this trip please bear in mind that we hope to be able to run this every year and this year have managed to secure a small amount of funding to take the rest of the class on a field trip to see JUMP in the theatre which is a martial arts comedy. Details of which will be released in the near future..

UPDATE!!!

On Thursday 29th May OTC awarded three students in Harlesden NW10 with scholarships to travel to Korea between the 25th June 2008, returning on the 13th July 2008. The three lucky students are Moalla Hassan, Rabekah Williams and Rushid Steven. While in Korea they will be able to participate in the 10th World Taekwondo Festival in Seoul the capital of Korea. After the four day festival they will train with korean students at one of the local high schools to develop their martial arts expertese. This will be a fantastic opportunity for them all. They will be able to keep in touch with all of the students and family back in the uk as we will have a blog up and running by the time they leave so that they can keep us informed as to how things are going and students and family can keep in contact with them here.
