Dear Liam

Re: Celebration of Achievement Event / Friday December 7th 2007 / Wembley Plaza Hotel

I just wanted to say a big thank you for providing the Self-Defence workshop at our Celebration event on Friday.

The Self-Defence workshop was very well attended and teh children really enjoyed participating in the techniques and the overall learning process. I too appreciated the stage presentation of the skills learnt by the young people and the fact that they also recieved a certificate - Always a bonus for children whose education has been interrupted

We look forward to working with you again

Very Best Wishes

Maggie
Education Co-ordinator

Liam and Susana,
I would just like to inform you and say just how much I appreciate you setting up and raising funds for the Taekwondo club. I now have two children attending the classes twice a week and I know that these classes will be of great benefit to them, now and in the future. The fact that these classes are free of charge is absolutely wonderful. It is also great that it is bringing together people of all races and different backgrounds. I really hope that you keep up all your hard work, which i know that both you and Susana have put into organising all of this. So I really do hope that this funding can be extended even further because it is having such a positive impact on both the children and the parents.

Thank you
N Mehdi

Dear Sir

I would like to apologise for the delayed comment on the Taekwondo lessons that the kids have been attending for the past three months. It gives me pleasure toextend my deepest respect and appreciation to yourself, Piyush and every one who exerts an effort in this particular event.

As a parent, Taekwondo lessons had helped in developing not only physical. I believe that martial arts are of great influence on people's life especially if they start as young as our little ones.

Salam has changed a lot in a very positive manner since he started the lessons. He used to be a very shy child baring in mind the fact that he started school in this country only at the beginning of this academic year. The instructions for the lessons by the children’s excellent master lead Salam to wanting to know more about this particular sport as well as enriching his language for that matter.

The classes are well organised, well prepared for and are run in a very professional way. I am glad to know of the expansion that you and your colleagues have made to the PATMA organisation transforming it to a wider social enterprise. Certainly this development is due to the sincere effort and contribution you put forward.

As a concerned parent, I would like to point few remarks, which I hope you look at all for the benefit of our beloved children.

Yours truly

Dr. Sajwaa Ibraheem
Parent of Salam Ali

Hi
Firstly I would like to say I hope Taekwondo will go on because is good for the Kids in this area and most of all they learn so many things, like defending themselves and respect for themselves and others, I would also like to add that this is good that these classes are being run because it keeps a lot of children out of trouble, they have something to enjoy and have fun learning how to defend themselves which could be a very good impact in life.

Thank you,
Maria Helena Henriques,
Parent of Carlos Barnabe

Dear Liam ,

I would like to thank you for all the hard work you have put in enabling the funding for the first six months of the TaeKwonDo for all the kids especially my son and step daughter.

I sincerely hope you are able to obtain funding for further months as these classes have had a fantastic impact on my kids, as well as myself

Before this opportunity came up all they did was the usual come home sit down and watch TV like most kids or play outside on the street which has its dangers in this day and age, since starting TaeKwonDo they now come home and have a purpose through the week instead of sitting in front of the TV they go to training at the club. This has given them the opportunity not only to learn self-defence and martial arts but also to meet new friends and have fun, they have taken part in competitions and started to progress to higher grades within the sport.

As well as learning the sport i have also noticed benefits to my children’s general being and attitudes, their flexibility and balance has improved as well as their confidence knowing they can protect themselves in dangerous situations, my son enjoys it so much that even when he is not at the club training he trains at home with me.

I have now also joined the club after seeing the fun and fitness my children have picked up fromthese classes and it now gives me personally the same as well as activities i can do and enjoy with my children and other kids and adults who also learn.

It is also very good for the community as many children and adults come together from different backgrounds, races and religions to mix and make friends, which is a good thing.

I hope the funding will continue for this project as it would be a great shame for the kids to lose out on this now, also the prospect of some of these kids going on to possibly represent there countries at the coming 2012 Olympics is a good possibility due the excellent tuition they are receiving from the instructor Piyush Khengar and hopefully maybe one of mine could go on to this, again thank you and Piyush for all the hard work and training.

Yours Sincerely,

Clive Ford
